Blasting Information Line has been established (1800 248 745) to provide the public with access to information on daily blasting times at Mt Owen and Glendell Mines.

The Blasting Hotline is advertised in local newspapers and the mine’s Community Newsletter in conjunction with the advertisement for the 1800 Community Response Line.

Landowners or occupiers of any residence within 3km of the Mt Owen Project area are also entitled to be notified about the blasting schedule at the Mine. If you reside within 3km of the Project area and wish to be notified of the blasting schedule, or if you are unsure of your eligibility for notification, please contact the Mine.

Glendell Mine is permitted to carry out blasting on site during the following times:  Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9am and 5pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) and Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm Daylight Saving Time (DST). No Blasting is allowed on Sundays or public holidays.

This schedule may be subjected to delays from production constraints or by unsuitable weather conditions on the day of the blast, such as low cloud, strong winds or temperature inversions. Up-to-date blast times are posted on the Mt Owen Complex Blasting Hotline on 1800 248 745.
